Our Design Services
Our services are similar to those of a residential architect. We
design houses, house additions, and home renovations. Most of our
work is in the Boston, Massachusetts area, and we are happy to do
work in Cape Cod and other parts of New England. Our services
consist of combinations of the phases listed below.
Phases
| 1. Consultation. To get started, we
recommend a 4 hour brainstorming session.

| 2. Feasibility. We provide
guidance through issues involving zoning, historic
commissions, conservation, and Title V.

| 3. Design. We provide drawings and
documents ranging from the minimum required to obtain a building
permit to highly detailed drawings and specifications.
Our design services range from providing the minimum amount required to
obtain a building permit to highly detailed drawings. Given our
background working on high-end new and historic buildings, our strength
is in historically accurate detail and adventurous design approaches. We
take pride in doing the amount of work that is appropriate for your
project.
If you choose to retain us, we refine the sketches from the initial
consultation and produce preliminary drawings for your approval. Them
you receive drawings and/or documents for permitting, pricing, and
construction. Our contract spells out the types of drawings and
specifications you will receive from us.

| 4. Construction
administration. We recommend that our services to you
include that of being the owner's representative during
construction.
